I'm currently on vacation with my dad and brother in Boston/Cambridge and it is so beautiful here. We are staying in Cambridge at a hotel called the Royal Sonesta, it's a gorgeous hotel but I have in no way made the most of it yet, so I'm going to try and fit in the gym and the pool before we leave on Friday. My room is really nice with a huge bed and a beautiful view. We got in really late after our flight (really late English time), and hadn't eaten but I was so tired and felt gross from flying so I stayed in and ordered room service which was delicious.
On our first day we stayed in Cambridge, had breakfast in the hotel and did a little shopping at the Cambridgeside galleria, which is a shopping mall across the road from the hotel. In the afternoon we went on a riverboat tour along the Charles River which was lovely and gave us some amazing views of Boston and Cambridge.
That evening we had dinner at the Cheesecake factory which was yummy but American portion sizes are just wow! Then we all went to our rooms pretty earlier because the time difference made us super tired.
Today we actually went into Boston on a Trolley tour, which is a weird bus type of thing. It was one of those which you could hop on and off of which was cool. We saw so many sights including MIT and the harbor. We stopped of Copley Square and did some wondering and purchasing at the malls and on a really lovely road called Newbury Street. This is where I went into my first ever Lilly Pulitzer store and thought I'd gone to heaven. We also stopped for Ben and Jerry's which was yummy.
The city of Boston is so beautiful and I am in love with its mismatched architecture, every corner and street has such a variation in building styles. It makes the city seem unique and quirky.
I'm excited for the rest of the week.
A cheeky OOTD and shopping post will be up next.
Does anyone have any recommendations of where I should visit in Boston?
XOXO
