OOTD - Shorts - J Crew Chino shorts Top - Kate spade saturday (on sale) Bag- Long Champ La Pliage
This post was so hard to do because I wanted to put in just so so so many pictures!
I’m in love with shorts! I have never been a shorts person, if my legs are out its usually skirts and dresses all the way. At the moment that's all changed, they’re just so easy and you don’t have to worry about flashing your knickers! The J crew 3inch chino shorts are my favorite I’ve found. I came to American wanting to load my suitcase with similar ones from Hollister/Abercrombie because Lucie has a pair and they’re super cute. I tried some on and if I was to buy them I’d be flashing my butt to whole of the American population, but you keep doing you thing Lucie!
Spending my life trying to find wifi spots
On our third day (I think it was our third?!) we took the trolley tour around Cambridge which meant we saw all around MIT and then got off at Harvard. The Harvard area of Cambridge was super touristy and so busy, which being from the English Cambridge it was nothing new. After we hopped off the trolley we went on the 'History walking tour of Harvard'. Every tour guide you have is dressed as a character from the areas history, ours was Joe Kelly the baseball player. We learnt some amazing facts and walked all around the beautiful campus, making me very envious of anyone who goes there.
One day we decided to battle Boston public transport and take a day trip to Salem. It took about 5 minutes on the bus/shuttle thing and then about 30-40 minutes on the train. I thought it was a really nice little town although super quite. Its where the Salem witch trials took place so is full of little tourist shops with hats and wands, so gets really busy around halloween.
White shorts are back for round two. I used to be terrified of if I'd sit in something but I'm over that if it means my legs look more tanned.
We went to the Salem witch museum which told you all about what happened and the history of witches past and present in the area. It was split into two presentations, I found them really interesting as a history fan but my dad and brother didn't enjoy it as much.
The whole of the town is so cute and looks like toy town with all the wooden boarded houses and front porches, some were a little creepy as well.
So food envy of the last few days! We went to a restaurant near the harbor called Legal Seafood and it was delicious. I had steak, scallops and shrimps and it was too die for and dad had the ginormous lobster. We also had Cheese Cake Factory twice since we've been here and each time the food was gorgeous.
Dinner with the fishys
XOXO
Disclaimer- I’m finding the direction of my blog difficult at the moment. I want to do the fashion and beauty posts I usually do but while I'm traveling its becoming a bit of a travel diary, so I’m just going to combine the two. Normal posts should be back in like a week or two once I settle in a bit more!
