I've got baggage...

So many posts this month are going to revolve around traveling and my America prep. Today I had the task of getting my suitcases. I thought I would be quick and easy pop into John Lewis and be done, but boy was I wrong! I had so many things to consider, size, weight, wheels, handles, colour, hard or soft and most importantly looks and PRICE (who knew suitcases were so expensive!!!).

I ended up looking in hundreds of shops and buying some only to exchange them for others. I eventually got some from T K Maxx by a brand called Aerolite, they're a charcoal colour, pretty boring but smart. I went with some that I would still want to use in 5 years time, even though I really wanted pretty pink ones. I got both a large and a carry on that matched.

I had a look around online and wasn't able to find a link for where to get them as they weren't on the TK Maxx website. The large one was £49.99 and the small £34.99 so an absolute bargain and they come with a 10 year guarantee!

 I've made a list of some of the nicest suitcases online. These are the ones I would definitely go for if I wasn't worrying about of practicality, colour or price.

I think a carry on bag is so important and although I have a small suitcase for the cabin for America, my usual choice is a large tote (which I'm trying to get on as well). To be honest, in my opinion, a large Long Champ Le Pliage is the only bag of choice, durable, classic and it fits loads. I have picked out some other alternatives, but I won't be giving up my Long Champ any time soon.
